Dishwashing Liquid and Liquid Detergent

We have two available household care products ready to be sold to direct customers: Dishwashing Liquid in a refreshing Lime scent and Liquid Detergent in Anti-bac scent. All our products are freshly handmade, customers can be assured that no excessive harmful chemical ingredients are included during the production stage.

We are only using purified water as solvent and a high quality coconut-based surfactant as a cleaning agent for our home care products. Coconut-based surfactant contains excellent cleaning properties and can stand alone as both cleaning agent and foaming.

For our dishwashing liquid, we never use preservative to make it more natural but it contains anti-bacterial ingredients to protect the product from undesirable microbes. We are producing one variant that comes with a lime scent which adds to its refreshing result. It has a complete cleaning formula that successfully remove grease and dirt from kitchen utensils.

Our Liquid detergent contains and advanced cleaning power that thoroughly removes dirt and stain from the fabric. We uses double coconut-based surfactants in gel and powder forms for this product in order to intensify its excellent cleaning and foaming qualities. 

This is 100% handmade so you can assure of its freshness qualities. The anti-bac scent adds to the amazing result of this laundry detergent. It is highly economized because you only need few drops for every washing activity. 

One of the great advantages of using this kind of laundry detergent is that you don't need to dissolve the solution as it is already in a liquid form. Therefore no undissolved particles that leaves at the bottom of your basin or washing machine.

Cleaning Power Behind Home Care Products

Did you know that SURFACTANT, and not the FOAM and BUBBLES, is the most crucial component in household care products that thoroughly remove dirt, stain and grease? People might often hear it but never actually understand how this very powerful cleaning component works.

What is a Surfactant and how it works as a cleaning agent?

SURFACTANT stands for Surface Active Agent and its unique chemical structure allows the element to interact with two types of surfaces: Oil and Water. The surfactant molecules contained tail and head. While the tail of a surfactant molecule is not attracted to water, its head, known as hydrophilic, works well with water.

When dirty materials or greasy objects are immersed in water with products containing surfactant, the tail of the surfactant molecule will catch and trap the grease, dirt and stain.  The head of the surfactant molecule will then carry the tail away from the surface of the materials the moment the objects are agitated (as in washing, etc.). Therefore, the main activity of the surfactant is to draw the stain, dirt and grease away from the surface. Foam and Bubbles have nothing to do with the surfactant's cleaning power ability.

Surfactant comes in many forms: Powder, Gel, Flakes, Needle and Liquid, but the most effective among these forms is the gel because it blends well with other chemical components and can be easily absorbed by any materials.

It is through this reason that we opted to use the Surfactant in gel form even if it is a little bit expensive among the surfactant forms because we wanted to create value for our customers while providing a high quality, affordable product that can compete well with existing and famous brands in the market today.

Coconut-based Surfactant

We are using a high grade coconut-based surfactant due to many reasons. First, the coconut itself contains powerful cleaning properties that thoroughly remove dirt from surfaces even on skin. It can stand independently as both cleansing and foaming without the support of other chemical enhancers. Coconut-based surfactant provides a superior cleaning ability compared to other chemical  cleansing formulations.

Hand-made products

Unlike famous home care products in the market that are manufactured with revolutionary machineries, we personally made our products manually, hand-made in other words. We meticulously followed a delicate process of mixing ingredients and carefully conducted the safest and soundest procedure. This is to ensure the products meet the industry standard. We sourced-out our raw materials from suppliers that are FDA (formerly BFAD) approved and registered from SEC.

Purified Water

We are using purified water  as solvent during the processing stage of all our household care (except for Toilet Bowl/Sink Cleaners) and personal care to guarantee high quality products. Tap water and mineral water are not ideal to be used because it contains traced minerals that react with other ingredients, its safety and quality cannot be assured.

DISHWASHING LIQUID

Our dishwashing liquid product comes in gel form and contains anti-bacterial for maximum protection against unwanted microbial elements. Presently, we are producing one variety that has a Lime Scent (Kalamansi in the Philippines, Kumquat in other countries). This product is available in two plastic bottles: 500 ml and 1 Liter.

LIQUID DETERGENT

Liquid Detergents might not be as famous as its bar and powder counterparts in Philippine consumer market, but this newest trend in laundry is the most effective and cost-saving kind of detergent.

In other countries, especially among developed nations, bars and powders are already obsolete, consumers from these areas prefer Liquid Detergent. It has many advantages compared to bars and powders.

• It is already dissolved so its cleaning component can be easily absorbed by the fabric.
• The liquid can be directly applied to the stain without adding water.
• It is highly economized because only few drops needed to be mixed in water.
• Most ideal to be used for washing machine because it doesn't yield excessive foam.
• It contains less fillers and harmful chemicals compared to powder and bar detergents.
• It has no undissolved particles and residues, so septic systems won't clog.
• Does not inflict too much harm on skin even with vigorous washing because it has no excessive chemical mixtures.
• It works both as cleaning agent and stain remover.

Liquid Detergent is still at the introduction phase in the Philippine market but slowly gaining popularity due to its superior cleaning ability. Since the detergent mixture is in a liquid form it can be easily absorbed by fabrics and immediately work on the texture to remove dirt. 

The only downside of liquid detergent is on the price aspect. Due to its very delicate components and special ingredients, the product is slightly expensive compared to bars and powders, but here at Dew Products, we are producing a very affordable and high quality liquid detergent that can match the superiority of existing brands in the market.

New Product Line: Home Care Solutions!

Hello everyone! It's been a year since I last updated this blog...

Last year, I had a plan to produce new batches of soap for customers who had placed their orders in this site, unfortunately, I got so busy with moving to a new place and finding a new job so I put the plan on hold.

When I got a job last year, I became extremely busy with adjusting and adopting the new routine that every weekend, my body and mind were exhausted enough to accommodate other thoughts, eventually the plans went to drain and did not materialize.

I also needed further trainings in developing soap and applying innovative techniques to come up with excellent procedures. Early this year, while researching for effective business strategies and contemplating what to do with my life in the succeeding years, I stumbled on the idea of venturing into household products under minimal capital, the idea sounds very interesting that I began searching for available trainings related to this business. Until I got one.

The other day I attended a four-hour training/seminar from ASC company in Cubao, Quezon City how to produce handmade household cleaning products that are safe and high quality. I thorough gained further knowledge and enough understanding with different chemical structures, its compatibilities and how each element works to achieve a high standard result in household cleaning.

The training I attended covered the following product making:

• Dishwashing Liquid
• Liquid Detergent
• Fabric Conditioner
• Liquid Hand Soap
• Toilet Bowl Cleanser
• Car Shampoo
• Hair Shampoo
• Perfume/Cologne

I asked a very good friend to help me put up the initial capital to develop the introduction stage of the business, she immediately sent me money to be used as start-up. Now, I am producing the first batches of Liquid Detergent and Dishwashing Liquid.

The supplier, where I attended the training, used a high grade coconut-based surfactant as a raw material for household cleaning products because coconut, as we all know, has complete cleaning and foaming components. It contains a powerful cleansing ability that thoroughly remove dirt and grease.

Here are the following learnings I gained from the training/seminar I attended:

• Surfactant means surface active agent, its main responsibility is to cleanse and remove grease and dirt that stick to the surface.
• Foam is not responsible for cleansing the surface.
• Coconut contains a powerful cleansing ability.
• Liquid detergent is the newest laundry trend in some developed countries.
• Liquid detergent releases minimal foam but has a perfect ability to remove dirt in fabric because the surfactant is more intact and easily dissolves in water.
• Liquid detergent is more ideal to use in washing machines than detergent powder because it doesn't yield too much foam.
• It is highly improper to ADD MORE WATER TO THE DISHWASHING LIQUID just to add volume to the amount of gel and extend its quantity for weeks. Tap water contains traced minerals that interact with ingredients making the anti-bacterial property ineffective. This means that if tap water is added to the dishwashing product without consuming the liquid right away, it will produce microscopic bacteria that will stick on the surface.
• Purified water and Distilled water are the only varieties to be used in producing dishwashing liquid, fabric conditioner, liquid detergent, car shampoo and other home care products, even personal care products like soap, lotion, shampoo and perfume. 
• Other fly-by-night household product makers used tap water to cut the expenses but it yields a poor quality result. Dishwashing liquid produced using  a tap water will have a cloudy appearance that hid bacteria. Normally, dishwashing liquid comes in a clear, viscosity solution.
• Anti-bacterial solution needs to be included in the mixing process to kill microbes that pass during the production stage.

After attending the training/seminar and learned the intricate process producing high quality household cleaning products, I was so inspired to make my first two batches of Dishwashing Liquid and Liquid Detergent. I'll be uploading soon the price quotation of these products. Just keep posted! 

Announcement

Got some real trouble in my work schedule and comprehensive exam preparations in my graduate studies, so my soap production is put on hold. I am not accepting orders until the end of April 2013. 

I am also researching more soap techniques and natural ingredients to boost the goodness and effectiveness of the products. Please keep posted with further announcement.
