Our Natural Ingredients

These are our available soaps as of March 6, 2012. Made from the finest ingredients of nature. Food nourishment for your skin. Ingredients are well-researched to come up with a balanced combination that will target a specific skin problem.

Basically, we are using only the best natural ingredients from nature. In fact, most of the primary ingredients we used in our Dew of Nature products can be found in the nutritious foods we are eating, thus, our soaps can be considered a food nourishment products for your skin.

The four basic OILS we used:

Olive Oil - Contributes to soap hardness. It is a soft oil that keeps your skin moisturise and smooth. It is very rich in linoleic acid which is responsible for the suppleness and softness of the skin texture. It conditions the skin and keep it more radiant and glowing. All organic soaps used composed mostly of olive oil. Soap makers used two kinds of olive oil: Pomace and pure olive oil. Virgin Olive Oil does not make a high quality soap because it is prone to rancid. In Dew of Nature, we are using pure olive oil because it makes the skin silky and smooth and does not leave a greasy feeling.

Coconut/Virgin Coconut Oil - Contributes to soap hardness and good lather, however it makes the skin very dry when a large portion of the oils are made up of coconut oil. It is very rich in lauric acid, a kind of milk usually found in baby's milk, thus coconut oil is very good for the skin. It conditions and moisturises the skin. Coconut oil also resists the early rancidity of the soap.

Palm Oil - Together with olive oil and coconut oil, palm oil comprises the three basic oil ingredients of soap making. Palm oil contributes to the soap's hardness and stable lather. It conditions the skin and contributes to a quicker trace. Palm oil has no trans-fats just like coconut and olive oils.

Shea Butter - Contributes to soap hardness and stable lather. Shea butter is an excellent remedy for dry and rough skin. It is one of the best natural skincare regimens in the world. It heals scars, burns, dark spots, blemishes and stretch marks naturally. It also protects skin from pimple, acne and premature wrinkles. It contains powerful antioxidants like vitamins A and E which fights free radicals and environmental pollution, the primary causes of premature aging. It has a natural occurring sunscreen substance that protects the skin from harmful UV rays. Shea butter makes the skin texture very soft, radiant, glowing, smooth, silky feel, and young-looking. Grapeseed Oil - Basically, grapeseed is a powerful antioxidant which minimizes varicose veins and wrinkles. It absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving a heavy greasy feeling. It is very useful in treating acne, skin blemishes and other skin problems.

Antioxidants:
Commercial soaps used Parabens as preservatives because it increases the shelf life of the soap up to five years but Parabens have been the subject of recent research studies that can cause cancer because it imitates the cancer growth cells in the body, thus using it as preservatives is highly dangerous.

All organic soaps are paraben-free because handcrafted soap makers used only natural preservatives such as Rosemary Extract, Vitamin E and Grapefruit Seed Oil. In our products, we are using vitamin E because it is more gentle to the skin and contributes to skin elasticity and suppleness. It also makes the skin glowing and radiant and even lighter.

Fragrance:
To avoid allergies and severe skin irritation to chemically-formulated fragrances, we are using only the natural fragrance for our soap which comes from fruits and flowers. We are using Jasmine and Lavender essential oils to produce a natural fragrance.

We will feature additional ingredients we used later as we produce another batch of soap.
